Royal Challengers Bangalore routed Kochi Tuskers Kerala by 9 wickets in the 50th game of Indian Primer League, played in Bangalore on Sunday. Batting first, the visitors scored 125/9 in limited overs. The home side got the easy target in just 13.1 overs after losing one wicket. This defeat has scuttled Kochi Tusker’s hopes of advancing to the knock-out stage as they have just ten points from eleven games.
According to details, the captain of Kochi Tuskers Mahela Jayawardene wins the toss and chooses to bat first. Michael Klinger and Brendon McCullam provided a good opening stand of 43 runs to their side. Gayle savaged 37 runs off Prashanth Parameswaran’s first over, hitting four sixes and three fours constituting his scoring shots.
Captain Daniel Vettori gave the first breakthrough by taking the wicket of McCullum, substitute player Arun Karthik his catch on the thirdman. He scored 22 on 16 balls with the help of three boundaries.
Chris Gayle, who dismissed Michael Klinger on 24 he was looking for a flick shot but got cleaned up by a middle stump Yorker.
Captain Mahela Jayawardene flopped once again, Vettori sent him back to pavilion on just 3. Jayawardene was looks to drive the flat delivery of Vettori but the ball turns away just a bit to take an edge which was nicely caught by the keeper.

In the middle and lower order, Just Ravindrasinh Jadeja showed a bit struggle by scoring 23 runs. Bred Hodge (5), Raiphi Gomez (7), Vinay Kumar (3), and RP Singh (0) failed to resist against Bangalore bowling.
At the end of limited overs, the final score of Bangalore was 125/9. Sreenath Aravind and Daniel Vettori picked up two wickets each.
Following the modest target, the openers of Royal Challengers Chris Gayle and Tilkartane Dilshan began the innings very aggressively; the home side completed their fifty in just 3 overs. With the outstanding start, both openers kept the base of victory.
Gayle, who scored 107 on just 49 balls in the last match, fired once again and smashed 44 runs on just 16 balls. His aggressive innings was consists of five massive sixes and three boundaries. Vinay Kumar was the bowler who took the only wicket (of Gayle) for his side.
After the return of Gayle, Dilshan and one-down Virat Kohli played a bit normal cricket and got their target on the first delivery of 14th over, without losing anymore wicket. Dilshan scored unbeaten 52 on 31 balls while Kohli remained notout on 27.
In reward to his outstanding innings, Gayle was rewarded Man of the Match Award. This is his second successive Award while third in the tournament.
