Chris Gayle scripted another victory for his side Royal Challengers Bangalore yesterday by smashing 70 on just 44 balls again Rajasthan Royals. With this, the aggressive nature West Indian batsman as also deprived the second position from Michael Hussey in most run scoring race in the ongoing IPL season.
Currently the former skipper of Delhi Daredevils Virender Sehwag, who was ruled out of the IPL, is holding the first position with 424 runs while Hussey of Chennai Super Kingshas been moved to third, his score is 388.
Gayle has scored 328 runs so far in the just six matches with the brilliant strike rate of 195.1. He scored 102 runs on just 55 balls in the first match he played against Kolkata Knight Riders. He scored 26 on just 14 balls in the next match, against Delhi Daredevils.
Gayle fired once again and scored played the innings of 49 which he made on 26 balls.
Batting aggressively, the 31-year-old batsman Caribbean batsman played the memorable innings of unbeaten 107 on 49 against Kings XI Punjab and became the first player to score two hundreds in an IPL season
His appetite of score was not still finished and he smashed 44 off just 16 balls against Kochi Tuskers. Gayle shines once again and scripted another victory to his side by playing the innings of 70 against Rajasthan Royals and remained unbeaten. He took the help of just 44 balls for this score.
If we see in the most sixes in on going IPL season Gayle is leading in the tournament with 30 sixes while his number of fours are 37. It is to be remembered that Royal Challengers Bangalore has not lost a single match after the join of Gayle.
