Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Chris Gayle is leading with 32 sixes in the ongoing Indian Primer League. The veteran Caribbean batsman not only scripted the victory for his side in every match he played so far, apart from this that he also entertained the crowed with massive hitting.
Paul Valthaty of Kings XI Punjab and former Delhi Daredevils skipper Virender Sehwag are present on the 2nd and 3rd rank with 19 and 18 sixes respectively in fourth edition of IPL.
31-year-old Gayle, who joined Royal Challengers Bangalore in the middle of the tournament, smashed 7 sixes in his opening match against Kolkata Knight Riders, scoring unbeaten 102 on just 55 balls.
In his 49 off 16 balls against Pune Warriors he lashed four huge sixes. Gayle entertained the home crowd with his massive hitting once again and hat 9 sixes to score 107 off 49 deliveries against Kings XI Punjab. He struck back again against Kochi Tuskers and scored 44 runs off 16 lashing 5 magnificent sixes.
Striking four sixes against Rajasthan Royals, the aggressor smashed 70 off 44. Gayle’s annihilation remains continue and he routed the bowling of Kolkata Knight Riders once again in the last match, accumulating 38 runs off 12 balls by hitting 2 sixes.
Gayle is now the second highest run-getter in the ongoing IPL with 434 runs. He is leading the pack despite missing the first five matches. What a stupendous performance!
