The first test match between India and West Indies started from 20^th June 2011. The first test match started with great excitement when Indian team came to bat first.MS Dhoni won the toss and he decided t bat first. The decision was not much good as India lost their first wicket for just 15 runs. M Vijay was the first Indian batsmen to get out. Mukund was the 2^nd Indian bats got out on the total of 30 runs. Dravid played a good inning of 40 runs while other bats in the middle of the inning were not able to score more runs.

Raina came in to bat when Indian team was in full difficulties. He scored 82 runs in 115 balls and provides some stability to the Indian team. Harbajan Singh played a good fast inning of 70 runs on 74 balls. He took Indian team out of danger and provides some respectability to the Indian team total. Indian team got all out on 246 runs. The score was very low score by the Indian team against the West Indies team in the first test match.

Opening bowlers Edwards and Rampaul bowled really well for West Indies team and they took 7 wickets between them. The opening bowling attack worked for the West Indies team .Leg spinner Bishoo also took 3 wickets and these three bowlers were the main cause of fall of Indian wickets. At the end of days play West Indies was 34 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. They are going good against the Indian total and the match is going in favor of West Indies team.
