Former skipper of Pakistan cricket team Shahid Afridi has returned to home due to the critical condition of his father Shahibzada Fazal-Ur-Rehman, who has been admitted Intensive Care Unit at the Aga Khan Hospital on Monday night, following a severe heart attack, sources have disclosed.
31-year-old Afridi, who is presently playing country cricket for Hampshire in English Twenty20 League has decided to bounce the remaining matches of his team and landed on Karachi Airport via Abu Dubai last night to be by his father’s side.
The veteran all-rounder missed the primary stages of his county stretch due to a crevice with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) that rescinded his No Objection Certificate, to play abroad.
The father of Afridi is combating a protracted infirmity and also went through a surgery in the United States in May.
There was some news in media that Sahibzada Fazal-Ur-Rehman passes away but it’s not confirmed. Some websites also claim Fazal-Ur-Rehman’s death and plenty of people receive same news through SMS. But the credible sources, after examining rejected the erroneous reports.
According to the latest reports Fazal-Ur-Rehman kept on ventilator. May Allah cure him and grant him the best of health.
