In the hearing of corruption case in the London Court, former Pakistan skipper Salman Butt will participate via the video link as he could not reach England due to not finding visa on time. Other two banned players, Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir will personally present themselves before magistrate. Method of the trial will be arranged. Court already has announced the date of 4 October for the formal hearing of the case.
According to details, proceedings of the case which is going to be start from Tuesday, will continued for two days. Due to visa problem one of the banned players, Salman Butt, could not go to England and will attend the hearing through video link.
Last years, the Crown Prosecution Service put the accusations of corruption and ditching on the trio players that were found guilty of being involved in match-fixing during Lord’s Test.
Prior to this Justice Jaims Sunders heard the case on 20 May at the South Work Crown Court London. Salman Butt did not bother to go to England for that hearing while Asif and Amir did not appear before the court by the advice of their lawyers, though they were in England at that time. Then the court gave the date of 4 October for the formal hearing.
However, the court ordered the trio to appear before the court personally or through video link in July for introductory hearing.
