According to information Sri Lanka’s main spinner and world class bowler Muttiah Muralitharan is injured and his injury ends world cup for him. According to information he was injured in the first match against New Zealand. He is suffering from Groin Injury. Officials of Sri Lanka’s team declared his injury and he was announced to be out of world cup. This will prove to be severe blow for Sri Lanka. He is main bowler in the bowling line. He was very effective for Sri Lank’s in last 10 over. Pitches of Sri Lanka are suitable for spinners and it was expected that Muralitharan will perform well in the world cup.
On Monday it is decided that he will return to home and he will be replaced by new player. 38 year old suffered injury on Friday in Guyana against New Zealand. He was also voice captain of the team.
