Ross Taylor says Australia tough despite being inexperienced
The Black Caps, who had won only three of 22 Tests and stand at the 8th position in the ranking table, take on Australia when they are facing severel injury crisis with most of its experienced bowlers being ruled out with major injuries.
Three new pacers James Pattinson, Ben Cutting and Mitchell Starc have been given chance for the first Test against New Zealand.
Taylor believes that New Zealand have the chance to win only their eighth Test in 51 matches since1946.
“Every time you play against Australia, you don’t need any more motivation with the trans-Tasman rivalry. We want to win every game. I wouldn’t say we’ve got a better chance here,” said Taylor.
He added that they are confident with the way they are playing. He believes that his side is presently and the thing which is needed is to do the basics well.
Despite of Australia’s weak bowling attack, Taylor expects that there is going to be a tough probation from the opponents.
New Zealand coach John Wright also believes that Australia could ultimately be feeble in Brisbane this week.
Aussies haven’t lost any match at the Gabba since 1988 and the Kiwis have secured only two Test match victories in Australia on their way to win the whole series in 1985.
