Pakistan have not lost a bilateral series under the leadership of Misbah-ul-Haq
Putting spot-fixing scandal and some other political controversies aside, Pakistan are on course to reclaim their lost stature in cricketing world. Thanks to Misbah-ul-Haq’s. resolute leadership they have not lost a bilateral series this year.
Pakistan are not expected to tinker any change in squad which crushed Bangladesh by 50 runs on Wednesday in the touring opening one-off Twenty20 at the same venue. In one-day series, Pakistan’s aspirations would not be less then a whitewash.
Bangladesh on the other hand, are the weighted-down from the back-to-back series defeats both at home and away venues. They recently lost one-day series to West Indies.
The hosts will have their work cut out for them as they have not defeated their fellow Asian-nation since the 1999 World Cup in England.
Like Twenty20 international, the first ODI is also regarded as the skirmish between the spinners and a low-scoring match is expected.
