Bangladesh have won the 5-ODI Series 3-1 with one more match to play. The 4th ODI between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe at the Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong was one of the worst matches in the history of ODI Cricket. Zimbabwe batting first were shot out for a miserable 44 which is the 5th lowest total in One Day Internationals. Zimbabwe proudly has two more lower totals than the 44 they got today which includes 35 all out against Sri Lanka in 2004 and the 38 all out against Sri Lanka again in 2001.
Bangladesh made heavy weather to reach the target of 45 as they lost as many as four wickets besides taking 11.5 overs. Earlier in the day, the Zimbabwean innings lasted 24.5 overs. The damage was initiated by new ball bowlers Nazmul Hossain and Abdur Razzak who picked a couple of wickets each. Left arm spinners Enamul Haque Junior and Skipper Shakib Al Hasan shared three wickets each.
The entire match saw less than 100 runs scored and easily less than 50 overs of play! The ICC will have to seriously look into the deterioration of the quality of cricket at times.
