Younis Khan, the Pakistan Captain has won the toss and opted to bat first in the 1st ODI at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. At the time of the toss, Younis Khan feels that a total of 280 should be good for his side. The pitch has a greenish tinge to it and according to Waqar Younis, the TV Commentator it might play better under the lights. The ground at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium looks pretty big and therefore running between the wickets will be an important factor. New Zealand have lost Kyle Mills and James Franklin in this game due to injuries.
Here are the two playing XIs for the day :
Pakistan : Salman Butt, Khalid Latif, Younis Khan (Captain), Mohammad Yousuf, Umar Akmal, Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal (Wicket Keeper), Abdul Razzaq, Mohammad Aamer, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal
