India vs. Australia ResultMatch three between India and Australia was played today. Toss won by India and elected to bowl first. Harbajan Singh started Indian bowling attack with a maiden. After fist over, Australian batsman started hitting boundaries. They didn’t think to hit four because they were busy in smashing sixes. Thirteen sixes scored by openers of Australia. SR Watson hit six sixes while seven sixes scored by DA Warner. Australia scored 184 runs for loss of five wickets in their 20 over.
It looked that India will come out and smashed the ball every where. When India started its batting they faced a great resistance from Australian bowlers as they were using the bounce very well. India started losing wickets and openers didn’t perform at all. Only two Indian batsmen reached double figure individual score. RG Sharma  remained not out and he scored 79 runs on 46 balls. Whole Indian team got out in 17.4 over and they managed to score only 135 runs. DP Nannes and SW Tait took three wickets each. This opening bowling combination worked for Australia. Australia comfortably won the match by 49 runs and started their way towards semi finals. Indian team now has to work hard if they want to reach semi final.
