India and West Indies out of T-20 World CupYesterday two important matches of group F were played. First match was played between India and Sri Lanka. Both teams wanted win to go to the semi final. Sri Lanka needed simple victory but India needed to win by more than 20 runs.
India won the toss and elected to bat and they managed to score 163 for the loss of five wickets. To maintain their chance of reaching semi final they had to restrict Sri Lanka below 143 runs. The match was going in the India’s favor until CK Kapugedera came in and played super inning of 37 on 16 balls. He hit 3 sixes and two fours. He hit last ball for six and Sri Lanka won the match by 5 wickets.
In the second match Australia beat West Indies and maintains its winning streak. Australia won by 6 wickets. Home team didn’t bat well and only managed to score 105 in 19 over and they all out.
In replay Australia came strong and chases the score in 16.2 over and won by six wickets. The victory of Australia and Sri Lanka make West Indies and India out of World cup.
