Many Pakistani players were banned by PCB after the unsuccessful tour of Australia. Some players were banned for 1 year and M Yousaf and Younis Khan were indefinitely banned. The players have filed an appeal to PCB for relaxation in Ban. M Yousaf has retired from cricket after he was banned. The hearing was held in Saturday and according to news it was deferred till 29th May.
Mohammad Ahmed Qayyum is lawyer of former Pakistani captain Younis Khan and he was not happy for the proceedings. Younis Khan is demanding open media trial. The lawyer said that the case is deferred till May 29th but we have requested for suspension of order till it proved wrong.
Early this year poor performance and discipline make many players under the sword of penalties and bans. Mohammad Ahmed Qayyum said that we have filed an application for cross examination of the members of disciplinary committee who issued such harsh suspensions and fines.
Shoaib Malik was also present in front of arbitrary committee. He was fined 2 million Rupees and also have 1 year ban to play cricket. The hearing of Malik is deferred till 22 May. Shahid Afridi, Kamran Akmal and Umar Akmal are other players who are facing fine from PCB.
