On Wednesday 19th May first T-20 match of two match series was played between South Africa and West Indies. The match was won by South African team and home side taste a defeat. The second match of the series will be played on 20th May.
West Indies won the toss and elected to field first. West Indies bowled well and restricted South Africa to score only 136 for loss of seven wickets in their 20 over. GC Smith and JH Kallis were the two South African batsmen who scored for South Africa rest didn’t performed well in batting.
KAJ Roach and KA Pollard picked two wickets each and they were also economical. The start of the West Indies team was very bad and they were not able to face South African good bowling and the wickets fell frequently. Upper order of batting was not successful and lower order also failed to perform.
No batsmen resist South African bowling to long and were not able to rescue their team. KA Pollard a quick inning of 27 runs in 17 balls. He hit two 4’s and one 6. R McLaren was the match winning bowler of South Africa and he took 5 wickets and gave away 19 runs in 3.5 over. He was also declared man of the match.
