Umer Gull is backbone of Pakistan’s bowling lineup. According to information due to injury his inclusion in Asia Cup Squad is doubtful. He is likely to get fitness for the tour to England in summer. His right shoulder was injured during the training camp.

He was also not part of Pakistan T-20 squad. Pakistan misses him a lot in tour. The semi final lost by Pakistan against Australia was purely bowling lapse. Gul said “I had an MRI done on it a few days back and compared to the first one I had immediately after the injury, the shoulder has 80-90% healed,”

Umer Gul said that he is not able t participate in Asia Cup as doctors forbade him to play Asia Cup. He also said he will soon start practice and to come in rhythm with sharpness take some time.

His name is included in 35 men squad and after training camp in first week of June 15 men squad will be announced. Six Tests, five ODIs and four T20Is tour is heading towards Pakistan and Shahid Afridi knows that his fitness is important for Pakistan.

The England tour begins on June 28. He will be fine up till then and will join Pakistani squad. Afridi said. “Gul is one of our key players and we want him to get fit as soon as possible,”
