Bangladesh fight back with Tamim’s CenturyAfter having follow-on in the 1st test against England, Tamim Iqbal made century to provide confidence to the Bangladeshi batting. The first match is continue in Lords cricket ground. On the forth day of the 1st test at tea Bangladesh was at 189/2 in their second innings. England made 505 in first inning and now Bangladesh is trailing by only 34 runs.

Both openers of Bangladesh Tamim and Imrul Kayes played well and provide record 185 opening stand to Bangladesh. Previous best was 161 between Tamim and Siddique against New Zealand in Dunedin in 2007/08. Imrul Kayes was out after scoring Imrul Kayes runs. Tamim made 103 with strike rate of over 100. Both the openers are back in the pavilion on the bowling of Steven Finn.

Junaid Siddique and Jahurul Islam are the two batsmen on the crease and they will resume the inning after Tea break. Bangladesh was in strong position at launch as they were 60 without any loss.

Tamim reached half century in just 49 balls and he continues his aggressive inning and scored century. Graeme Swann was the bowler who was hit for 17 runs in an over. He was hit for 2 sixes and one four by Tamim Iqbal. He took 94 balls with two sixes and 15 fours to complete his century. Now Bangladesh is in good position to draw the match and avoid the defeat in match.
