
On 30 May forth ODI was played between South Africa and West Indies. South Africa won the toss and they elected to field first. West Indies opener gave them a good start and they made 63runs first wicket partnership. DM Richards played a lovely inning of 59 runs and provide base to team for making good score.
S Chanderpaul made 69 runs and DJ Bravo made 45 and gave stability to West Indies batting line. DM Bravo made fiery 45 on 31 balls. With 19 extras West Indies managed to make 303 runs in their 50 over. The big total gave some hope to West Indies to win the match. CK Langeveldt and LL Tsotsobe took two wickets each.
GC Smith and HM Amla open the batting for South Africa for the chasing big total. They started slowly but steadily and after 50 run opening partnership Smith got out. HM Amla didn’t leave the crease and make another 100. His century took South Africa close to another victory. JH Kallis and AB de Villiers also scored half centuries.
At the end of the match South Africa managed to chase the score on last ball. They won by 7 wickets. HM Amla was declared as man of the match.
