In the second test match between England and Bangladesh at Manchester, England won the toss and elected to bat first. KP Pietersen, IR Bell and MJ Prior scored more then 50 runs. IR Bell made 128 in the first inning of England and helped England to make a score of 419.

Shakib Al Hasan from Bangladesh took 5 wickets and gave away 121 runs. Bangladesh came out to bat and openers of Bangladesh Tamim Iqbal and Imrul Kayes provide good start to them. First wicket fell at 126 then came the collapse of Bangladesh batting.

Tamim Iqbal is the only batsmen who scored 100 and got out after making 108 runs. Other batsmen fail to score; last 9 wickets fell in only 90 runs. Tamim Iqbal from England took five wickets. A Shahzad took 3 wickets.

After being follow on Bangladesh opened inning again and centurion of the first inning fail to score and got out after making just 2 runs. Only Mahmudullah score 38 runs and no other batsmen cross 20 run figure. ST Finn from England took 5 wickets. Bangladesh got all out after making 123 runs. England won the second match by an inning and 80 runs.
