First Test Match between South Africa and West Indies started yesterday. The match was delayed due to rain. South Africa won the toss and they elected to bat first. SA opened their batting after late start.

South African team consists of GC Smith, AN Petersen, HM Amla, JH Kallis, PL Harris, AB de Villiers, AG Prince, MV Boucher, DW Steyn, M Morkel and LL Tsotsobe. Smith and AN Petersen opened the inning for South Africa and they provide good start of more then 50 runs. HM Amla got out after just making 2 runs.

At one time SA was three down for just 68 runs. JH Kallis tried to provide stability to inning but he also got out after making just 28 runs.

AB de Villiers and AG Prince batted well and both are not out at lunch of second day. Both are in 40’s. South Africa will score compatible total if they both played well.

Under the captaincy of C Gayle West Indies team consisted of TM Dowlin, S Chanderpaul, N Deonarine, BP Nash, DJ Bravo, D Ramdin, IT Shillingford, SJ Benn, NT Pascal and R Rampaul. IT Shillingford took three wickets for West Indies and SJ Benn took two wickets. T lunch on second day South Africa is 190/5 with AB de Villiers and AG Prince batting.
