Afridi Declared Asia Cup as Launch Pad for World Cup

Afridi Declared Asia Cup as Launching Pad for World CupPakistan team is leaving today for 101 days long tour. First they will compete in Asia cup then they will go to England for test series against Australia. Last time Pakistan went on long tour against Australia and New Zealand. Pakistan’s team was under controversies after there disappointed tour.

Many Pakistan players were banned and many were imposed with fines. Now Pakistan is again going for long tour. Pakistan’s captain Shahid Afridi said that they are now looking forward to the tour and he also said that Asia cup will proved to helpful for then in the preparation of the world cup. He declared all the controversies as a part of past.

Afridi said that boys are committed and they will not repeat their mistakes again. He added that it is a time that player regroup again and play like a unit. He emphasize that player should avoid groups in the team.

Pakistan will play against England 5 ODI’s and couple of T-20 matches and then played with Australia for 2 test and T-20 matches. The tour of England started later in this month and will ended on 22 September.

Afridi said that player will get long time to spend together and it will be best chance for them to plan for the world cup. Asia cup will prove to be Launching Pad for World Cup.
