First one day match is going on between Australia and England at Southampton. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. SR Watson and TD Paine provide 52 runs opening start to Australia. Captain Ricky Ponting came to bat on his normal position at three after SR Watson got out after making 32 runs.

Ponting just made 21 runs and got out then MJ Clarke came to bat. He played very sensibly and stabilizes Australian inning. He scored 87 runs and remains not out. He faces 97 balls and hit 7 fours. JR Hopes made 34 runs and provide him some help. Australia managed to score 267 runs and lost 7 wickets. J Hazlewood and DE Bollinger didn’t bat for Australia.

JM Anderson opened bowling for England and he took 2 wickets in 9 over with 1 madden over and gave away 43 runs. SCJ Broad hit for 54 runs and he also took 2 wickets. LJ Wright also got 2 wickets. The inning includes 7 extra runs. England will chase the total after lunch break.
