Pakistan team is in England to play its home series against Australia. Every home team has advantage of choosing the pitch of its own desire. Pakistan doesn’t have such privilege in England. Pakistan request for the pitch of their own desire has been rejected by the ground men.

Coach of Pakistan team Waqar Younis said that he was very surprised when his request for the pitch was rejected. After his late arrival in England he discuss about the pitch with players to decide what type of pitch they wants to use in first test against Australia.

Waqar was told that the curators to prepare a certain type of track even England captain can’t dictate about the nature of pitch. First test match is starting from 13th July in Lord’s and the second test will be played at Headingley (Leeds).

Shahid Afridi is also not happy on the decision. He wants to end losing spree against Australia. He also said that it’s the home series of Pakistan and Pakistan has all the rights to select the pitch of their own desire to take full advantage.

Danish Kaneria, Saeed Ajmal and Abdur Rehman are the three specialist spinners in Pakistan squad. In addition to theses three Shahid Afridi and Shoaib Malik are other two spinners in squad. Now one can imagine what type of pitch Pakistan will prefer.
