Shahid Khan Afridi Announced His Retirement from Test Cricket

Afridi RetiresPakistan’s cricket team captain Shahid Afridi announced his retirement soon after the defeat against Australia in the first test match at Lords. Shahid Afridi was not succeeded to score runs in the 2nd inning and got out after jut 2 runs.

In the presentation Shahid said that he doesn’t have temperament to play this kind of cricket and he further said that team will try to perform well in the second match. Pakistan was chasing the total of 440 runs and they failed to achieve the winning total.

Pakistan’s team was all out after scoring at 289. Australian part time bowler North took 6 Pakistani wickets and destroy Pakistan batting order. At one stage the match was evenly balanced. Salman Butt resisted against Australian but he could not resist for long time and got out in nervous 90’s.

Salman butt is vice captain of Pakistan team and it is expected that he will took the responsibility of captaincy in the second test match. Shahid Afridi said that 2nd test match between Pakistan and Australia will be the last test match in his cricket career.

Afridi said that test match cricket required proper batsmen or Bowler and further added that he has not enough temperament to play test match cricket. Pakistan is schedule to play 4 test matches against England next after Australian series. Salman Butt is the man who has to take the responsibility of Captaincy against England series.
