RE Koertzen Retires After A Successful CareerAfter a successful career, RE Koertzen retired from international cricket umpiring. He belongs to South Africa and he served cricket world for 18 years since debut in international umpiring in 1992. He is 61 years old and he retired after the second test match between Pakistan and Australia. The match was played at Headingley, Leeds.

ICC appreciated the umpiring career of RE Koertzen. He was very good umpire and much found in controversies. He performed umpiring in 108 test matches. He was selected as umpire 95 times at neutral venue and 13 times in home grounds. 20 times, he performed the duty of TV Umpire.

He performed duty of umpiring 250 times in ODI’s. 209 time as ground umpire and 49 times as TV umpire. He also have T-20 career and done umpiring in 19 of them. 14 times as ground umpire and 5 times as TV umpire.

He was having good umpiring skills and was included in the list of top umpires. He is very great personality and performs well for international cricket. He is one of the Assets of international umpiring world. We congratulate RE Koertzen for having successful career.
