2nd test match between India and Sri Lanka has started today. Sri Lankan batsmen started the test match with full confidence and it was clear that the win of last test match has raised their confidence level. After winning the toss they straight away decided to bat first. The decision worked for Sri Lankans

NT Paranavitana and TM Dilshan both succeeded to provide fast start to Sri Lanka. TM Dilshan got out after scoring quick half century. He played lovely inning of 54 runs on just 42 balls. He hit 10 fours in his inning. The start provided by him helped Sri Lanka to build a good total.

Couple of centuries from Srl Lankan side makes them able to reach the total of 312 for the loss of just two wickets. NT Paranavitana scored 100 runs and got out. KC Sangakkara remains not out after scoring 130 runs and he still batting confidently. His presence on the wicket will also boast other players to play well. DPMD Jayawardene is also not out and batting on 15 runs. TT Samaraweera, AD Mathews, HAPW Jayawardene†, KTGD Prasad, CRD Fernando, S Randiv and BAW Mendis are the batsmen who has still to bat.
