Sri Lanka Defeated New Zealand without Bonus PointSecond match in the tri angular series in Sri Lanka was played between Sri Lanka and New Zealand. New Zealand won the toss and they elected to bat first. Start for Sri Lanka was not good and they lost early wicket. BJ Watling batted well for New Zealand and scored half century. He batted for 104 and also hit eight fours.

SB Styris scored 24 while NL McCullum made 36. Wickets of New Zealand fell regularly and they got all out after48.1 over and managed to score 192 runs. SL Malinga and AD Mathews picked three wickets each.

Sri Lanka after losing first wicket early stabilized them. WU Tharanga scored 70 while KC Sangakkara scored 48 runs. TT Samaraweera remained not out at 36. Sri Lanka batted well and made the match to their way. At one stage they went for bonus point but they lost too many wickets. The loss of quick wickets didn’t allow them to achieve the target in 40 over. In the end Sri Lanka managed to achieve the target in 40.5 over. KD Mills took 4 wickets for New Zealand. New Zealand also won fron India by the margin of 200 runs.
