Sri Lanka had beat India and won the final match of Tri-Angular series. After winning the toss, host team elected to bat first and DPMD Jayawardene along with TM Dilshan opened the inning for them. Both openers provided 121 opening start to Sri Lankan team. TM Dilshan scored brilliant century for Sri Lanka. He got out after coring 110 runs in 115 balls. His century includes 12 fours and a six.

KC Sangakkara also played captains inning and he scored 71 runs in 62 balls. Sri Lanka lost too many wickets in the final 10 over of the inning but managed to score 82 runs in last 10 over. They set 300 runs target for India after scoring 299 runs.

P Kumar was the most expensive bowler for India as he gave 72 runs in 10 over and took only one wicket. MM Patel and I Sharma took 2 wickets each. Indian batting was full of drama. Yuvraj Singh nicked the ball but was not given out. V Sehwag was not given LBW but he was run out on the same ball. India could not manage to get the desired start. 67 runs inning from MS Dhoni was also not proved to be helpful for them. Result Sri Lanka beat India and won tri angular series.
