Three Pakistani players who are reportedly involved in the spot fixing scandal had been suspended by ICC. In the press conference ICC Chief Executive, Haroon Lorgat said that there is no conspiracy against Pakistani players. He further said that the suspension is made to relax other player as ICC wants to protect the game.
Haroon Lorgat said that there will be no change in membership of Pakistan with ICC. He added that in the meeting with PCB official they had given indication that they are planning to suspend the players who are involve in Spot fixing allegations. It is decided that no further suspension will be implemented on the player until full investigations of investigation team.
Haroon Lorgat said that ICC will not tolerate any corruption and so far there is no proof against three cricketers but if ICC got evidence against these cricketers then strict action will be taken against these players. While answering question he said that it is duty of players to inform ICC panel about the approach of bookies but most of the players doesn’t disclose it and results in the criticism on the ICC anti corruption panel. Salman Butt, Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Aamir had been investigated today by investigation team.
