There is some news that ICC is planning to remove the name of 18 year old young Muhammad Aamir from the nominee list of award for the ICC’s emerging player of the year. He was included in the list of 16 players as nominee for this award. The reason behind the planning is the involvement of Muhammad Aamir in the spot fixing scandal. He along with two other Pakistan players has been suspended by ICC from playing.
On Thursday night a declaration had been issued by ICC in which it was clearly stated that “in accordance with the provisions of the code, this means they are immediately barred from participating in all cricket and related activities until the case has been concluded.”
The period for judging the capabilities of player started from August 24, 2009 and ended on August 10, 2010. He was included in the nominee list as he became the youngest player to achieve 50 test wickets. He also took 16 wickets in 10 ODI and 33 wickets in nine tests. Today he has been investigated by the Scotland Yard team and its results are still not announced. Proper investigations will decide about the future of Muhammad Aamir.
