Pakistan elected to bat first in the 2nd ODI against England. The decision worked for Pakistan as Kamaran Akmal and Muhammad Hafeez provide 122 runs opening stand to Pakistan. Pakistan was looking good since the start of the inning. Kamaran Akmal played aggressively and he was looking good in playing strokes. He got out on 74 runs. Muhammed Hafeez could not complete is half century and got out on 43 runs.
After losing 2 wickets Pakistan’s side was provided with stability from Muhammad Yousaf and Asad Shafique. Muhammad Yousaf made 46 while Asad completed his first half century. Then Umar Akmal played short inning of 28. Pakistan was looking to made more then 300 runs but they lost too many wickets in the end that they cannot achieve the target of 300 runs.
In the end Pakistan ended the inning with 294 runs on the board with 8 wickets down. England bowling was good in the end and they restricted Pakistan below 300 runs mark. SCJ Broad took 4 wickets for England team. Now England will start their inning for chasing 295 runs and they have to bat well if they want to chase the total successfully.
