New Zealand tour to India is starting from November 4 with first test match. Second test match between India and New Zealand is schedule to start on November 12. The match was scheduled to play at Eden Gardens but there was renovation works going on in the stadium so Cricket Association of Bengal showed their inability to host a test match on that ground. The renovation works are going on for the world cup 2011.

Now the 2nd test match will be played at Kanpur. If the renovation works stops for the test match then it will be difficult to complete it before world cup. The final inspection will be done by ICC team on December 8th. ICC team visited on September 10th to check the renovation works and they urged management to speed up the work.

The ground has to host four world cup matches on it. First match will be hosted between India and England on 27th February. 2nd match will be on March 15th between Ireland and South Africa. Third match on 18th March will be played between Ireland and Netherlands. Fourth ODI will be on 20th March between Kenya and Zimbabwe. Before hosting these match Eden Gardens require approval of ICC so it has to complete its renovation work before next inspection.
