The regional team manager of WI, Colin Borde said that Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo are WI player and they are still belonged to WI team. He also added that they will definitely sign the central contract as they got recognition by WI. Both players have declined to sign the central contract.
Colin said that players are still attached to WI cricket but they need some discussions with the board and after that they will definitely signed the contract. US$80,000 was refused by both players by WI board. They were also required to available to play for WI all the team. Both players are little reluctant on this clause. It is very difficult for them to make themselves available for WI.
WICB President’s Cup 50 over Tournament will be starting in Jamaica next month. West Indies board has named these players to play in Trinidad & Tobago squad. WI board had offered contract to player to play for the team on 31st August. If any player wants to play for the team then he would have to accept the offer up till 10th of September. The delay in signing will make board to find substitute player for the team.
