According to information West Indies player Gayle has rejected the central contract offered by West Indies Board. Earlier this month Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo also turned down that contract. Gayle is the third player who has rejected the offer by West Indies Board. According to sources the central contract offered by West Indies Board contained the clause that the players must make them available to West Indies all the time.
This clause is making the players rejecting their contracts. The players are will to sign contract if the contract doest not bound them to make themselves available all the time to board. The players are willing to sign if they are not bound by the contract.
Due to increase in cricket all over the world players are not willing to sign such contracts which bound them to make themselves available all the time to board. Board are offering player to contract but they are refusing it. It is very hard time for West Indies board. $25,000 was offered to players for the central contacts but it was not accepted by the players. There are reports that Twenty-two players have signed the contract so far and one player is seeking extension. West Indies Board is trying to resolve the issue as quickly as they can.
