PCB chairman Ijaz Butt who is in England for official tour relating to spot fixing matters has withdraws his statement about English players. Butt had issued a statement in which he said that English players have taken money in the third ODI between England and Pakistan. He refers the stamen with bookies circle. After the stamen ECB has responded the statement hardly and threaten him legal action.
Ijaz Butt is in England and he has withdrawn his statement. ECB and players has welcomed the apology from him. He said that he issued a statement after media reports and he had no strong evidence about the matter. After his apology ECB has also withdrawn its warning of legal action. Butt has refused previously from with drawing his statement but later after the meeting he with draws his statement and said it was due to misunderstanding.
Butt said that he never wants to hit the integrity of ECB and its player. He just issued a statement after media reports and it was all misunderstanding. He added that his stamen was misinterpreted. He thanked English Board fro providing them neutral venue for the series. He also thanked English board for the hospitality. Butt also said that PCB will not show any tolerance to any player if found guilty of fixing.
