Suspended Pakistan cricketers Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif’s appeals will be heard in Qatar on 30 and 31st October. According to close sources, the appeals of suspended Pakistani players will be held in Qatar. Pakistani players desire to play series against South Africa and they demanded that the appeals should be heard on some early dates but it is set on 31st October. Lawyers of players appealed early hearing but it is now set for 31st.
Three Pakistani players were suspended after they were alleged for match fixing in the Lords test match. They were blamed for bowling deliberates ‘No Balls’. Players are denying the allegations from day one. They said that it was propaganda against them and they never involved in any fixing. PCB chairman Ijaz Butt also found himself in problem after his statement against ECB and players.
ICC has not officially confirmed the dates and they said that venue and dates are still not officially announced. The delay in hearing will cost these players the series against South Africa. Series against South Africa is home series of Pakistan at neutral venue. Ijaz Butt is in UK for the meeting with lawyers of suspended players. He is scheduled to come back tomorrow.
