Pakistan came back strongly in the game on the second day of first test match. They got the first wicket of the day in shape of PL Harris. Umer Gul bowled lovely opening spell on the 2nd day and resulted in 3 quick wickets for Pakistan. AB De Villiers and AG Prince also got out cheaply on the bowling of Umer Gul.

South Africans were not able to control the bowling attack of Pakistan team on the 2nd day and they were bundled out on 380 runs. It was looking that South Africa will give good score to Pakistan and match was a looked slipped from Pakistan’s grip. The sharp bowling from Pakistan’s bowler troubled the opponents.

The batting start from Pakistan side was also very good. Both openers Hafeez and Toufeeq Umer gave 105 runs start to Pakistan team. Muhammad Hafeez scored half century. Toufeeq Umer who made his test return scored 42 runs before he got out on the bowling of Morkal. Azhar Ali and Younis Khan are two not out batsmen who will resume the inning on the third day. The match is now at the balanced position. Pakistan is still trailing by 232 runs.
