Ponting may miss first test against Pakistan

Australia Vs Pakistan Melbourne 1st Test, Battling a tendon injury in his elbow Aussie skipper Ricky Ponting may miss the first test against Pakistan.

Ponting was smashed up by a bouncer on elbow by West Indian fast bowler Kemar Roach in Perth test. He could not carry on the innings after the blow and was shifted to hospital later on. Australia had already announced 13 men squad for the first test starting from 26th of December. Middle order batsman Phillip Hughes is included in the squad as an alternative of skipper.
