IPL player’s auction is schedule in January 2011 and this auction will be held in Bangalore. According to information IPL has reduced the number of players from 416 to 350 who will present in the auction. Due to unknown reasons the list has been educed by 66 players. There is also a list of 21 players presented by IPL who will have a base price of US$400,000.

The concept of base price is continuing with IPL but it is not necessary that players will be bought by franchises at the same price. There will be different prices for different players. In 2008 Ishant Sharma was bought by a franchise Kolkata Knight Riders at $950,000 despite of having base price of $150,000. Similarly Chennai Super Kings bought Hyden at $375,000 despite of having base price of $250,000.

Kings XI Punjab, Deccan Chargers and Kolkata has retained 12 players from the list of players in auction. 10 teams will played 74 matches in the IPL season 4 as originally scheduled by IPL. The schedule will not disturb if there will be no action against any of the 10 team in IPL. There are two team are still waiting for their issue to be resolved with BCCI.
