Lahore : Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has formed a six-member committee to probe fateful tour of Australia. Pakistan was whitewashed in the three-match Test series 3-0 followed by a disastrous ODI series defeat when Aussies swept 5-0 in Perth.
The board’s decision to form the committee was also prompted by reports of of a rift between the players and the management. “Pakistan Cricket Board has formed an Inquiry Committee to evaluate the National Teams performance on the tour of Australia. The Committee will look into the various aspects of the team performance and make recommendations accordingly,” PCB said in a statement.
”We have to look into the reasons for the defeats and we will remove the flaws so our cricket can move forward,” PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt told reporters yesterday[Monday]. ”A full-time analysis is needed and we will definitely take corrective measures to improve the performance of our national team,” he added.
PCB six-member committee : PCB Chief Operating Officer Wasim Bari will head the committee comprising of Wazir Ali Khoja (PCB Governing Board Member), Yawar Saeed (Former team manager), Zakir Khan (PCB Director Cricket Operations), Tafazzul Rizvi (PCB Legal Associate), Haroon Rashid (Director National Cricket Academy and game development).
