England won the first T-20 match after tough contest. After Ashes defeat Australian team came with determination to win the T-20 match series. CL White won the toss and elected to bat first. The decision was good for Australia as they scored 83 runs for the first wicket. Warner got out after scoring 30 runs. Shane Watson was the first to go after scoring 59 runs in 31 balls.

Hussey also played well and contributed 28 runs to Australian total. Australia managed to score 157 runs in their 20 over. The scored was looking very competitive. Australia was not able to reach the score that they were looking to.

The start of the England inning was not good as was of Australia and they lost their first wicket at the score of 16 runs. Bell scored 27 and got out on the bowling of Johnson. Pieterson scored 25 runs while Collingwood got out after scoring 16 runs. Morgan was the top scored for England team. He scored 43 runs for his team.

At the end of the match it was very tough for England to win with only one wicket in hand. Woaker was batting with A Shahzad. England needed 3 runs on two balls. Woaker push it for two on the second last ball of the inning and match was tied. He scored one run on the last ball of the inning and gets victory for England. It was the first T-20 match after World Cup T-20 final match.
