Pakistani coach Waqar Younis has been served by a notice from PCB. He criticized the decision of board not to announce the captain along with the team and stated that it would be good if captain would be named by the board with the team.

Nadeem Sarwar told that PCB had issued a notice to Waqar Younis after his comments. He added that his comments are against the code of conduct of PCB. According to new media policy of PCB players and officials are bound to act under code of conduct and there are restrictions on players not to violate any term.

The delay in naming the captain has also been criticized by many players and there is also a controversy that may be Misbah named as captain for the world cup squad. Some said that the decision has been made to make Shahid Afridi focus on cricket.

Before going to New Zealand Shahid Afridi said that he is not worried about captaincy. He added that he never run after the captaincy and he is also not thinking about it. His job is to play and perform for his country. He also added that PCB is the sole authority to decide on the captaincy. He added that he knows the importance of win in NZ as Pakistan will go with confidence to world cup after winning.
