Former Indian captain and also captain of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL Soruv Ganguly have a chance to make his IPL appearance in the upcoming edition. In the bidding held on 8th and 9th January he was failed to attract the bidder and was not hired by any team.
The letter has been sent to franchises from BCCI and asking them if they have any objection regarding the Indian players not adopted in the auction. There is some news that Kochi is showing interest in signing Ganguly in the team. One of the co-owner of Franchise said that they have not asked the board to get permission of signing Ganguly.
BCCI will decide about the matter of players on 4th February after they get the answers of their letter from franchises regarding the players’ issue.
Ganguly had doubled the base price in the auction to $400,000 and he was not able to find any buyer. Ganguly said that he does not believe to go unsold. He added that he was not expecting anything near it to go un-sold. He does not believe to get his place out of 100 players. His former Franchise Kolkata Knight Rider is still having an option to have him with them.
