
Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Ijaz Butt said that Pakistan-India series is expected in running year and in this regard discussion between the two governments will hold. Ijaz Butt invited the media reporters came from Pakistan to tea in Napier, where Pakistan will play the fourth match of series today. Chairman PCB said that the cancelled Pak-India series is expected to be held in England. Our government has allowed us to play in India
but is waiting for the decision of Indian government. In the up-coming month meetings will held on governmental level on this issue and I am hopeful that we will be permitted to play the series.
He further said that Britain Prime Minister David Cameroon also offered us that we are ready for the hosting of traditional rivals and they will provide the best services as much as possible. Both of the boards will start work on scheduling the series as the governments will permit them. According to ICC rules the essential series will held and this impression is not true that in new future program the numbers of Pakistan-India series are less.
PCB chairman said that if Pakistan would not have face the spot-fixing scandal then return of international cricket was possible. The tours of MCC and ICC World XI teams were finalized. Ijaz Butt said that I want to see international cricket again in grounds of Pakistan from tomorrow, but unfortunately this is not possible. I am providing my best services for the return of international cricket in Pakistan but until ICC is not ready to hold on matches in Pakistani stadiums we have to play at neutral venues.
