According to reports former Pakistani and currently banned player Salman Butt will appear on media as its role as cricket pundit during the world cup. Former ICC president Ehsan Mani said that it’s a weak control from ICC that allows Salman Butt to appear on media.

Salman Butt is banned from cricket for 10 years but still he will be available to present his point of view on media. ICC banned him from cricket but millions of followers will listen his point on TV. ICC has stated that they are powerless to stop Salman Butt from media as the channel is non-licensee.

ICC spoke man said that legally they are not able to stop him. Mani said that the issue is not handling with care by ICC. They are showing week leadership. He referred his tenure when he was president of ICC and he stopped Muhammad Azharuddin from doing media campaign. He said that he talked to Indian cricket board and stopped him from participating on media.

Mani added that they are opposing it as it presents wrong message to the world that a person with ban are allowed to present his view on cricket. He is not allow to participate but will be paid for his opinion.
