Geoff Lawson expresses Pakistan return

By on Thursday, 11th February 2010

Former Australian fast bowler Geoff Lawson is willing return Pakistan for coaching job – but only if the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offer a full apology for sacking him from the role last year. Meanwhile no official approach has yet been made again to former coach Geoff Lawson.

“I would not consider any offers from Pakistan Cricket while Ejaz Butt was still involved in any capacity with the PCB unless he offered a full and detailed apology”, Lawson was quoted by Cricdb.

Lawson was appointed Pakistan coach on 16 July 2007 for two years but without completing the two year tenure he was sacked on 24 October. Even after removal, Lawson was shown to keep loyalties. In the recently concluded Pakistan, Australia series, he was reportedly seen wearing a Pakistani shirt
