The match between Sri Lanka and West Indies team was a close match which was won by Sri Lankan team. West Indies batted first and set 282 runs target for Sri Lanka. The target was achieved by Sri Lankan team after losing 6 wickets.

C Gayle scored half century and finally gets his form back. He scored 58 runs before he got out. DM Brovo was the 2nd batsmen who scored half century. All batsmen contributed in the West Indies inning and they took the total to 281 runs. The score was very competitive score. Malinga got three wickets while other six wickets were taken by spin bowlers.

Sri Lankan openers opened the inning well and they provide 67 runs start to the team. TM Dilshan scored 62 runs. KC Sangakkara scored 71 runs. It was good batting display from top order of Sri Lankan team. TM Samaraweera also scored half century. Total three half centuries scored from Sri Lankan team.

The bowling was not so impressive from West Indies apart from SJ Benn who took three wickets for 40 runs in 10 over. It was goo batting from Sri Lankan who got them victorious in 48th over.
