Pakistani players Salman Butt and Muhammad Amir have appealed against the ban they were forced by ICC. Both players were intending to appeal and finally they have filed an appeal at the Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland. They were banned for planning and bowling pre-planned No Ball.
In September they were provisionally suspended but they filed appeal against that suspension. They were not able to get the appeal in their favor. After that they filed an appeal against the spot fixing case and finally they were verdict for 5 year ban.
Yasin Patel said that they have filed an appeal The Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS). The appeal is filed against the tribunal finding against Butt. The players’ gets five year ban after they were find involve in the allegation that was put against them.
They have also appealed that the minimum punishment term according to ICC new code of conduct should be revising by ICC. It is also indicated that Salman Butt is intending to appear in the criminal investigations hearing that will be held in England on 17th March.
Muhammad Amir Lawyer Shahid Karim also said that they have filed an appeal against the ban on them and they will fight the case till end.
