Pakistani all-rounder Shoaib Malik said that the combination of Pakistan team is very good and they are playing like fighters. He added that Shahid Afridi is playing and leading like a true captain. Malik backed Afridi strategy and said that plans are working for Pakistan at the moment.

He added that Kamran Akmal should open the batting for Pakistan and Asad Shafiq should be given a chance in the middle order. Malik said that Misbah and Younis are scoring runs in the middle order and they need more stability in the middle order in shape of Asad Shafiq.

Kamran Akmal said that for last six to seven years his position is not fixed and he can bat at any number. He added that he has no issue relating to batting number and can adjust at any batting number.

Coach Intakhab Alam said that Shoaib Akhtar is fully fit and he was not injured. He was given rest in the match against Canada. He is available to team and will play for Pakistan team in the next matches.

Shoaib Malik was not picked for the world cup squad as he was not able to get clearance from PCB integrity committee. He is fully confident to make his return in Pakistan team.
