Pakistan team wicket keeper is expected to play against Australia in a crucial match.  He was previously expected to drop from the team after the bad performance against New Zealand. He played against Zimbabwe as his replacement Umar Akmal was injured. Umar has injured his finger so he is out from the world cup squad.

Pakistan’s captain Shahid Khan Afridi gives indication that Kamran Akmal might replace Ahmed Shahzad in the important match against Australia. Ahmed is not been in good form and he had scored just 44 runs in five matches.

Afridi said that they are showing faith on Ahmed but he is not learning from his mistakes and Pakistan team might have new opening pair in the match against Australia. He said that good opening would help them in the match.

He added that Kamran has experiences as an opener and they will try him at his opening position. Asad Shafique played good inning of 78 runs at number three position. Afridi said that some one like Asad will suit Pakistan at number three position.

Waqar also said that the shot selection by youngster was not good and it had cost them a lot. He added that it will be good for Pakistan to think over the opening issue.
